EXCLUSIVE CLIP: Watch a Behind-the-Scenes Featurette from the 'Warrior' DVD!

Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton and Nick Nolte talk about the blood, sweat and tears that went into making their acclaimed mixed martial arts movie

As one might expect from a movie set in the world of competitive mixed martial arts, Warrior certainly packs a punch -- a whole lot of them. But the critically lauded film, about two brothers -- one a financially strapped family man (Joel Edgerton), the other an ex-Marine with a tragic past (Tom Hardy) -- who enter the same MMA tournament and wind up on a collision course with each other, is a layered, complex film.

"The film delivers so much," says Edgerton in a behind-the-scenes featurette from the DVD (also out in Blu-ray combo pack as well as Video on Demand and digital download on Dec. 20). "It's not just a fight movie. It's a film that kind of really explores families and the drama there. It's very human."

"It appeals very much to my sensibilities of wanting to get involved in dysfunctional sort of dramas," Hardy agrees, "as opposed to something light."

And veteran actor Nick Nolte -- who's generating serious Oscar buzz for his turn as the brothers' recovering alcoholic father and sometime trainer -- found a gem in the movie. "This is what you try to do every time out, if you can find 'em," he says. "They're hard to find."
