The Embattled Ex-Marine

British actor Tom Hardy (pictured) plays Tommy Conlon, and ex-Marine with a tragic past who returns home to Pittsburgh, Pa., to be trained by his recovering alcoholic father Paddy (Nick Nolte) for a shot at a mixed-martial arts championship -- which is offering the largest prize purse in history. Meanwhile, Tommy's estranged older brother Brendan (The Thing's Joel Edgerton) and his wife (Jennifer Morrison) are struggling to make ends meet, and Brendan enters the tournament as well -- putting him on a path for the championship and a showdown with his sibling.
