Was Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Loopy on Late Night?

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz must have confused Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for Last Call with Jimmy Fallon after her performance Thursday night on NBC.

Simpson-Wentz was on to promote the series debut of Melrose Place on The CW next week and it appeared she had quite the party in the green room before being interviewed.

It was the first time that Simpson-Wentz has been away from her nine-month-old son Bronx Mowgli. Husband Pete Wentz is back home in Los Angeles playing the role of babysitter.

Maybe she was just happy to be in New York City or is just naturally loopy but she spent more time laughing and swaying back and forth than plugging her show.

I’m all for having a good time and letting your hair down while the kid is away but maybe she could have waited until after her interview if you know what I’m saying.

Simpson-Wentz is probably glad she’s not home after the Southern California wildfires knocked out power at their home.

Hollywood might not be their home for much longer as the couple is seeking a
"normal" life
for their son.

"Once you have a kid it's a little bit different," said the Fall Out Boy frontman. "You're more protective. You want them to have a normal life, or as normal as possible. We’re going to figure out moving somewhere that’s a little less (public). But we still got to be close enough where we can work. There’ll be too many paparazzi and you’ll get mobbed. You’re just trying to protect your wife or your kid. It’s just frustrating."

With Ashlee on her way to an acting career in Hollywood, it would be hard for the couple to leave the media frenzy completely but isn’t it refreshing to hear a couple trying to avoid the paparazzi instead of seeking them out?
