Were Lindsay Lohan and Heath Ledger involved in a secret affair?
That's the claim made by Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan, in a taped phone conversation somehow obtained by Radar Online.
In the urgent-sounding call between Dina and Lindsay's estranged father Michael, Dina worries that their daughter is fatally dependent on drugs and alcohol -- and that her friends are all contributing to the problem. That's when she brings up Heath:
"She was dating Heath when he died. I don't know if you know that, but I know. 'Cause I would drop her off and they were friends -- very, very close, okay? So that f****d her up."
(If you're wondering why Lindsay had to get a ride from Mom to visit her alleged boyfriend, it's because her license was suspended after that DUI.)
Dina also expresses concern that her daughter could die like Heath did: "Right now by starting to drink vodka and s*** again, it's not the right direction. Because when she's drunk or takes an Adderall with it, she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking."
As for Samantha Ronson, whom Lindsay started dating after Heath's death, Dina says she's incapable of taking care of her daughter: "Samantha's a baby herself."
How much of this call is serious, and how much is just a mother worrying? We don't know -- but we gotta say, if we were Lindsay's mother, we'd be worried too.
As for Ledger, he was also rumored to be dating Mary-Kate Olsen and Gemma Ward shortly before his death in January 2008.
