Lindsay Lohan was hoping to make a solid comeback with her new role as Victoria Gotti in the new film Gotti: Three Generations, but there seems to be some discrepancy as to whether or not the actress will appear in the film at all.
"I promise you Lindsay Lohan is not playing Victoria Gotti," producer Mark Fiore told E! News. "Talks have stopped and we are done."
Fiore insisted that they "have no discussions with her," but it seems that Lohan, 24, is singing a different tune. Though it is true that she won't be playing mobster John Gotti Sr.'s wife, Victoria, the actress says she has snagged the role of John Gotti Jr.'s love, Kimberly Albanese.
"I'm really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do," Lohan told the Associated Press Wednesday. "I think it's such an iconic story."
According to sources, LiLo was so set on being part of the movie that she pulled out all the stops to convince producers she would be great. Still, no contracts have been signed and her recent legal troubles may throw a wrench into her plans.
But, have no doubt, Lindsay wants to be a part of this film. Last week she appeared at a press conference for the biopic in New York, alongside John Travolta (who will star as the main mobster) and the real-life Victoria Gotti (pictured here).
What do you think? Should Lohan get the part?
