Grey’s Anatomy fans that can’t wait until the season premiere on Sept. 24 to confirm the fact that Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) is alive can watch the first five minutes of next Thursday's two-hour premiere.
The suspense surrounding whether Stevens and George O’Malley (T.R. Knight) survived after flatlining at the end of last season has been nonexistent for the last couple of months.
Knight left the show in June and Heigl hinted in July on the Late Show with David Letterman that her character was “there so I'm either there as a ghost, on the other side or I survived a disease no one survives."
Heigl is taking a hiatus from the show during the middle of the season to film a movie with actor Josh Duhamel and her character will be written off the show for the time being.
The preview ends with Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) in denial that the "John Doe" that was brought to Seattle Grace Hospital is indeed O’Malley after learning that Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) identified the body. Lexie is positive that it’s not O’Malley based on his height.
It looks like we will have to wait just a little bit longer to find out the exact details regarding O’Malley and how his character will depart from the show.
What would you like to see happen this season on Grey’s Anatomy (Thursdsays 9pm on ABC)?
