Jennifer Aniston is usually mum about her love life, but lately she's been more forthcoming about her relationship with Justin Theroux. On Monday's episode of Good Morning America, Aniston set the record straight about one persistent rumor regarding their romance.

Despite speculation that Aniston and Theroux got together during the filming of their new comedy Wanderlust (at which time the actor was still with his girlfriend of 14 years, professional stylist Heidi Bivens), Aniston insists their relationship began some time after the movie shoot wrapped.

"Nothing happened on that movie... it's a rumor," the 43-year-old actress said in the interview with GMA's entertainment anchor Lara Spencer. "It's the easy rumor, but nothing happened. We were just friends, great friends, on the movie."

Aniston explained that she and Theroux have known each other for "a long time," a claim he confirmed in an interview of his own: "We met around five years ago when I was working on Tropic Thunder," the screenwriter told Entertainment Weekly.

Aniston continued to joke a bit about Theroux's personality, looks, and acting skills ("He's a great actor," she gushed), before switching gears to discuss how she deals with paparazzi, directing and her celebrity BFFs Courteney Cox and Chelsea Handler.

Regardless of whether audiences believe she and Theroux started seeing each other on the set, it's clear Aniston doesn't want to be portrayed like her ex Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who famously met while starring in Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
