Little Monsters, this one's for you. In honor of Kat Von D's LA Ink series finale, which aired Thursday night on TLC, RadarOnline has unearthed an old YouTube video of the tattoo artist working on none other than Lady Gaga -- before the singer was a household name.
Back in 2008, Kat was the bigger personality -- a 26-year-old breakout star from TLC's Miami Ink who had just started her own show, the spinoff LA Ink. In the video, you see a 22-year-old Gaga (sporting a platinum wig, electric-blue pants and a heavy New York accent) make small talk with Von D as she gets a tattoo on the lower back.
"I'm a singer but I'm also a songwriter for other artists," Gaga tells Kate. "I've just been working and doing shows."
When Kat asks her if she's working on anything cool, Gaga replies: "I worked with New Kids on the Block last night -- it was rad!"
The rest of the video is of more chitchat between the two women, mostly Gaga fawning over Kat's tattoo skills.
"You really do beautiful work. It's really elegant, and the lines are perfect," she compliments the artist.
Three years later, Lady Gaga is the most powerful celebrity on the planet, and Kat Von D -- who's engaged again to Jesse James -- has a brand that extends far beyond her Los Angeles tattoo parlor.
