Once upon a time, back in 2005 to be exact, Glee star Matthew Morrison and 500 Days of Summer star Zooey Deschanel were star-crossed lovers -- on film, that is.
The two starred in a made-for-TV movie Once Upon a Mattress, and NYMag.com dug up the amusing clip. Now we can all enjoy the duo's sugary-sweet duet in the fairytale film -- and marvel at how far their careers have come!
When Deschanel’s character reveals she's (gasp!) pregnant, the two crooners break into cheesy but well-sung song.
As Morrison twirls the She and Him songstress around in her flowing pink gown, she repeatedly sings: "Harry, marry me." They joyfully belt out lyrics from an ivy-covered swing, lie lackadaisically on the grounds of the castle, and stare longingly into one another’s eyes.

Watching this video leaves us hoping that Deschanel will be the next actress to guest star on Glee. We'd love to see her battle Gwyneth Paltrow for the affections of her former Prince Charming!
