Tina Fey Suffers a Wardrobe Malfunction -- Deliberately!

The actress proves the best way to shake off an embarrassing fashion mishap is to laugh about it in the new promos for her SNL gig this weekend

Like anyone who watches HBO, we're used to seeing topless actresses on TV -- but we never expected Tina Fey to be one of them! When Fey accepted the Best Comedy Writing Award at the 2013 Emmys, her low-cut Narcisco Rodriguez gown gaped open for a split second. It was a blink-and-you-missed it wardrobe malfunction -- but of course, this being the era of HD and Twitter memes, nobody missed it. And naturally, being the genius that she is, Fey has now turned that moment into comedy gold.

In a promo for the 39th season premiere of Saturday Night Live, host Tina Fey and cast member Kenan Thompson joke about whether she'll have another nip slip on live TV. Watch all of Kenan and Tina's promos below, or skip to 1:20 to see just the wardrobe malfunction bit.

And in case you did miss it the first time (and your boss isn't looking over your shoulder), here's video of the actual Emmy incident. You can see Tina look down, giggle, and then compose herself at the speed of light. Almost like someone who is used to improvising on live TV...

Our beloved Tina will be hosting the season premiere of SNL on Sept. 28 (which, as she points out in the promo, will not conflict with the Breaking Bad finale). Other hosts this season will include Bruce Willis, Miley Cyrus, and possibly Lady Gaga. We'll also be seeing a new cast, since Bill Hader, Fred Armisen (and soon Seth Meyers) are moving on. That makes Tina Fey an especially smart pick for the season opener: She'll be one more familiar face on that SNL stage!
