Figuring out how to breathe while swimming can be confusing and a little scary. Practicing bobs is a fun and easy way to learn the mechanics so you’re not gasping for air or swallowing water. Hold the side of the wall and take a deep breath in through your mouth. Close your mouth, submerge yourself under water then exhale through your nose (like you’re blowing into a tissue). Resurface and inhale through your mouth again and repeat the pattern.
