So, my relaxing day, and the rest of the week were suddenly disrupted by an intense fear for both Jacob's health and that of my unborn child. Our first move was to have Jacob tested again for lead exposure. I went called my OB's office and asked that they order the same test for me. Our next step was to consult every paper, online resource and local real estate agent looking for another, newer rental that offered the space and layout we need with another baby on the way.
The week ended with me worrying less about my fatigue and evolving nausea and more about what I could have done to better protect my son and my unborn child. Unfortunately, the lab could only tell me that test results take at least a week. So, my excitement about being pregnant was temporarily on hold as I worried about the test results. And our relatively calm lives were shaken with the news that we have a very short window of opportunity to move.
