I don't know about you, but I'm super-excited for tomorrow. It isn't just the anticipation of a historic election and the reveal of our next president; I'm looking forward to sharing this important evening with family and friends.
Republicans and democrats will surely gather around the table and television as ballots are counted. Whether your table is blue or red (or a little bit of both) set it to support your favorite candidate and use the evening as an excuse to celebrate this significant day for
Break out the blue if you're for Obama. If you're setting up a snack table lay a runner down before the food. Disposable blue paperware is a great way to keep the clean-up to a minimum, or get all fancy with pretty patterned plates. If you're serving chili, pick out blue pottery bowls for Barack.
If McCain is your man, show your republican pride with a table that's set in red. Fill ruby glasses and serve them to guests in style. If you plan to enjoy a sit-down meal, no better time to use dramatic red plates than for election night dinner. And, don't forget the napkins - especially if you're indulging in messy ribs, the senator's favorite meal.
Then, anticipate that victory toast and keep some champagne flutes handy.
But hey, no matter what color your table is - the important thing is that you go out and vote.
