After weeks of waiting, Gleeks finally got to watch guest star Gwyneth Paltrow show off her musical talents as substitute teacher Holly Holiday.
Paltrow, 38, performed four numbers on last night's episode of Glee, including a smoky version of "Conjunction Junction" from Schoolhouse Rock, a lighter take on Cee Lo Green's "Forget You" (which has already rocketed to #1 on the iTunes charts), a duet with Lea Michele (together they sang the Chicago finale showstopper "Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag") and a "Singin' in the Rain"/Rihanna "Umbrella" mash-up with the entire cast.
So, how did she do? Check out her pipes in the video below.
It seems the popular opinion is that Paltrow did a pretty fantastic job. Entertainment Weekly thinks the Oscar winner deserves to snag an Emmy for her performance, while CNN said Apple and Moses' mom totally "rocked it."
A reported 11. 6 million fans tuned in (the most since the equally anticipated Britney Spears episode), and, according to creator Ryan Murphy, Gleeks might get more Gwyneth in the future. "(Gwyneth) and I want her to come back," Murphy told E!. "It depends on (the) story...I love her."
Of course, it's not the first time Chris Martin's wife has impressed with her singing. She appeared in the 2000 karaoke dramedy Duets, in which she crooned alongside Huey Lewis.
Plus, it seems she's already convinced most of you with her talents, as nearly 80 percent of iVillage readers thinks Paltrow has what it takes to be a legit singer.
