What Do Sharp Pains and Tingly Sensations Mean?

Ever get that tingly numb feeling in your hands and arms, or even sharp pains and muscle aching?  If so, you could be on the path to repetitive stress injuries (activity-related pain). This type of pain is caused by the pinching of neck nerves that extend to the arms and hands and are also entrapped in chest muscles that cross the shoulder joint. You can prevent pinched nerves by doing a few stretches every 30 to 45 minutes. Oswald suggests sticking your arm straight out to the side, away from the body, pressing your palm on the side of a wall or your desk and rotating your chair away from it to open up the chest.
