I have a wedding coming up in late September (which I'm very excited about!), but since I don't normally have a ton of weddings to attend at a time of year when the weather is legitimately chilly, I've been a little perplexed as to what the heck to wear.
I know I want my dress to have a bit more coverage that any of the dresses I wore to a summer wedding (which all had fairly skimpy straps) and I also need it to be something that I can dress up or down. It's important that I can wear it to work if I have to, or sparkle it up for a holiday party later in the year. No sense in buying something if you can't wear it at least three different ways, right?
I really like the ruffled sleeves on this Pins & Needles Dress ($78 at Urban Outfitters) and the black color way really lends itself to a pair of dark tights (which might be neccessary if the weather is especially cool). And the muted palette of the floral print on this Secret Garden Floral Dress ($86 at Fredflare.com) feels sort of perfect for the time of year.
But I think this Plain Bubble Sleeve Dress ($80 at Topshop) really fits the bill best since I'd be able to wear a few different ways depending on how I accessorize it. in the office I'd be sure to pair it with a cami and blazer, but a bold glittery necklace would really jazz it up for the wedding.
What do you guys think? Any wedding (guest) dress suggestions?
