What Does Your Kid Eat for Breakfast?

When I was a kid, I wasn't big on eating breakfasts. I'm still not, to be honest. I do remember my mom sending me off to school with a slice of American cheese in hand—you know, those plastic-wrapped individual slices of waxy yellow cheese. She was trying to get some calcium and protein into me, but needless to say, I was not a fan. These days, breakfast is often a cup of yogurt or some kind of fruit—an apple or a handful of grapes. I try to get down a few almonds, too, for protein.

What about your child—do you always send him off to school with a healthy breakfast? What's her favorite morning meal to start off the day?
