Football Fashion: What Sunday Night Football's Michele Tafoya Has In Common with Kate Middleton

NBC's Sunday Night Football sideline reporter Michele Tafoya is linked to Kate Middleton through fashion! They are both customers of British designer Katherine Hooker.

Michele Tafoya, the sideline reporter for NBC’s Sunday Night Football, never imagined she’d one day be in a story with Kate Middleton, but here she is linked with the Duchess of Cambridge.

“You know what, Kate and I have so much in common," Michele told us with a laugh. "No, it's the only thing that will ever connect (us), that we’ll ever have in common."

Watch here to see what that is!

Michele needs to be warm on the sidelines and she also can’t wear the colors of any team she covers. (I never realized that!) So no green for the Jets or blue for the Patriots. On top of all of that, she needs to look good and make an impression when she’s doing her reports or interviewing football stars like Tom Brady or Eli Manning.

Could fashion be any more complicated? It was until Michele learned about British designer Katherine Hooker, who is known for her elegantly designed and beautifully tailored jackets and coats. Now Michele’s the happiest and one of the most well-dressed on the sidelines. People are always asking her, “Where did she get that coat?”

As for how Hooker met the princess, she says it happened “in a very normal way.” Kate found Hooker back in 2004. “Just like all my customers, she’s very normal, straight forward. She comes because there’s something here she wants and it’s as simple as that.”

Hooker’s clearly modest. There is nothing simple about the fact that her designs have been worn by a princess, and will be worn before millions in the U.S. every Sunday night. Michele debuted her first Katherine Hooker fashion of this season on the premiere of Sunday Night Football Sunday night and will be wearing a new coat from Hooker every Sunday night throughout the season.

To get more information about Katherine Hooker's fashions, head to www.katherinehooker.com. Her made-to-order jackets start at $1045, and made-to-order coats at $1250. She also has a ready-to-wear range in an online shop, www.katherhookernow.com.
