Now that the September issues are out, my research has begun! Leaves haven't even started to fall yet, but I'm already plotting my purchases for the upcoming season. Have you started to plan your fall wardrobe yet? If you haven't -- we forgive you for being so busy -- join our Find Your Fall Style Community Challenge. iVillage style expert Kim Johnson Gross will give you daily style tips on how to maintain your fabulousness! Anyway, here's what I need this fall:
An airy black jumper: Although I'm a little intimidated about wearing a long adult one-piece, I believe this trend will still be hot this fall. Instead of wearing it with Grecian flats (too summer), I'm going to sport this Richard Chai Love Ruffled Neck Jumper ($222.50 at LaGarconne.com) with high-heeled strappy gold sandals. When the temperature drops, I'm going to throw on a tuxedo jacket and call it a day.
Anything red: From belts to bangles, red accents are going to pair well with this fall's earth tones and whites. (That's right, white tops, bottoms and dresses will be in!) I'm particularly in love with this Red Over Heels Belt ($17.99 at ModCloth.com). Not only do I adore its bright yet subdued hue, I can't take my eyes off the woven detailing -- another hot trend this season.
Breathtaking bib necklaces: I'm so glad that this trend is here for yet another season. This time around, think big, bold jewels -- they'll pop! My favorite bib find at the moment is this Jeweled Bib Necklace ($44 at Newport-News.com). So much cheaper than Olivia Palermo's collection at Roberta Freymann.
The shoulder bag: I first started wearing these when I was a tween (that was when I discovered fashion). It wasn't long until I traded in my immature shoulder bags for satchels and hobos. Forgive me, shoulder bags, for you are still as fabulous as you once were. And this time, even better, might I add. Enter, the Twist Front Shoulder Bag ($23.80 at Forever 21), which will look great next to any light jacket in my wardrobe.
Faux crocs: And I'm not talking about those plastic clogs. I'm referring to the lux trend of crocodile. I plan to rock these ANA Croc Lace Up Boots ($135 at Topshop), for starters, with both skinny jeans and fall shorts. If it's cold, I'll add a pair of dark, textured tights to the mix.
