The first place wrinkles typically appear are at the corners of the eyes, also known as “crow’s feet.” Depending on genetics, sun exposure, and smoking history, they may appear as early as in your 20’s. It’s important to look for sunglasses that wrap around the sides of your face, in order to protect this delicate area whenever possible, or at least bigger glasses that will offer some coverage. It also helps to use antioxidants such as vitamin A (retinol), niacinamide (vitamin B3) and vitamin C. The good news is that smiling does not create the wrinkles; however, constant squinting can contribute to them, which is all the more reason to wear sunglasses and have your eyes checked for prescription lenses as needed.
