The Official White House Tree

For the second year in a row, the official Obama White House Christmas Tree, one of 54 Christmas trees in the White House, honors military men and women and their families, in connection with First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden's Joining Forces military initiative. This 18 foot six inch Douglas fir from Jefferson, North Carolina is decorated with ornaments made by kids on military bases and sent to the White House to honor their parents who are serving. It was my favorite part of the White House tour!
