The confirmation has finally come that Lauren Conrad FF (she's not really her BFF, is she?) Whitney Port will be getting some major screen time of her own. Sources tell E! Online that the budding fashion maven has moved on to a spinoff, set to begin airing in 2009.
"They will start shooting immediately," says a show source, who confirms the pickup just happened within the last two weeks, though MTV is still keeping mum.
The show will revolve around Whit's new life in New York City, where she is now working for Diane von Furstenberg.
I like Whitney, really, I do, but can she carry her own show? Then again, did we think Lauren could?
