9 Reasons We Can't Wait for 2014

Celeb weddings, maybe babies, brand-new movies -- 2014 might just be the best year yet!

Listen, 2013, you were great and all, but we're pretty much over you. At this point, you're about as relevant as a Facebook hashtag, the new Yahoo! logo or even The Lone Ranger.

(Sorry, Johnny).

Sure, you've had some great events and unforgettable moments, but we've seen what you have to offer. Now we're ready to move on to 2014. Here are some of things that have us the most excited about the new year:

1.) The Winter Olympics

There may have been one or two (okay, three) scandals so far, but we love any opportunity to see some competitive curling.

2.) Godzilla
You had us at Bryan Cranston

3.) Lauren Conrad's Wedding

It's going to be so BEAUTIFUL! And even if it doesn't live up to the hype, we'll undoubtedly get some great sound clips from the ever-entertaining Speidi.

4.)
KimYe's Wedding

Speaking of upcoming nupitals, our brains are exploding at the thought of what a Kanye-designed wedding will look like. We're also willing to bet that West performs at his own reception. After all, he is a god

5.) The Beginning of the End of Mad Men

The first half of Mad Men's seventh and final season will air in 2014, with the second half of the season finishing in early 2015. It's been a boozy, sex-filled romp for Don and the gang, and we're excited to see how Matthew Weiner winds down his series (provided we have as few scenes with creepy Glen as possible).

6.) The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I

We don't want to say much in case you haven't seen Catching Fire yet, but wait, on second thought, why haven't you seen Catching Fire yet? Don't you know Jennifer Lawrence is in it? Go on, go right now. We'll wait right here for you.

7.) Whatever Miley Cyrus Does Next

Wrecking Ball, the VMAs, the Terry Richardson photo shoot ... 2013 was a year of, er, change for Miley. How's she going to top that in 2014? We're equal parts excited and terrified to find out.

8.) Baby #2 for Queen Bey and Hova

Granted, we know the power duo is busy dropping secret albums and going vegan, but with the talent in those genes, it would be a waste to stop after just one baby. Will 2014 be the year Blue Ivy gets a little brother or sister?

9.) The FIFA World Cup in Brazil

We're always excited for the World Cup, but we'll wholeheartedly get behind this one if Brazil promises to not bring back the vuvuzela.
