Why Britney Spears Lost Kids

Yesterday, I told you that a judge ordered Britney Spears to turn her kids over to, gasp, Kevin Federline. So why did Britney lose her kids? Here's the deal...

On September 18, L.A. County Commissioner Scott Gordon gave Britney specific things she'd have to do in order to maintain 50/50 custody. TMZ.com says she didn't do any of them.

Britney was ordered to meet with a drug counselor... and she never did.

Britney was ordered to submit to drug and alcohol testing... and she never did. In fact, the night he gave the order, the "habitual, frequent and continuous" user of alcohol and controlled substances went out clubbing.

Britney was ordered to complete the court's "Parenting Without Conflict" class... and she didn't.

Britney was also required to sign the judge's order... and she didn't.

Last week, the commissioner prohibited Britney and K-Fed from driving their kids unless they had a valid California driver's license. He reportedly was annoyed to see TMZ footage of Britney driving her kids around Malibu over the weekend.

So the reason Britney Spears lost her kids is because she thumbed her nose at the court ruling. (You remember how well that worked for Paris Hilton, right?) Just because you're famous doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. For better or for worse, Britney learned that yesterday.

Now that she can focus strictly on herself for a while, let's hope she quits the clubbing crap and gets the help she needs to fix whatever seems to be broken.
