Jon Hamm is blissfully in love with his girlfriend of 13 years, Jennifer Westfeldt -- but don't expect to see him walking down the aisle anytime soon. Both he and Westfeldt grew up with divorced parents, and the actor doesn't believe that becoming husband and wife is a guarantee for forever.
"I don't have the marriage chip," the Mad Men star said. "Jen is the love of my life, and we've already been together four times longer than my parents were married."
Though recent reports claimed Hamm, 39, had secretly popped the question to Westfeldt, 40, the actor was quick to squash the marriage talk.
"That rumor comes up every six months or so it seems," Hamm told UsMagazine.com. "But if you hear anything different, you let me know."
Though Hamm may not be putting a ring on it, he isn't coasting through his relationship with the former 24 actress, either.
Says the actor: "Like anything else, you pay attention to it and work hard at it."
