Why Was James Franco Parading Around Sundance in a Blonde Wig?

The Oscar nominee channeled Suzanne Somers and sang the Three's Company theme song at a party

James Franco may be an Oscar nominee, but the 127 Hours star proved this weekend that he doesn't take himself too seriously. At The Sundance Film Festival, Franco donned a long, blonde wig in promotion for the documentary Three's Company: The Drama, which is a behind-the-scenes look at the 1970s sitcom.

Embodying the Suzanne Somers role with his golden locks, the always-eccentric Franco hosted a "Reagle-Beagle"-themed party Friday night at Chefdance, presented by Sotheby's.

"He was singing into the mic at the deejay booth," a party guest told People.com. The deejay blasted the old school Three's Company theme song throughout the evening. "James was having a great time."

Franco, who is set to host the Oscars alongside Anne Hathaway next month, partied with his new look alongside pals Andie MacDowell, Eliza Dushku and Rick Fox.
