Will Ferrell is certainly dedicated to his craft.
The actor, who is promoting his new film, Land of the Lost, decided to appear on Discovery Channel's Man vs. Wild, and went on two-day joint expedition in the Swedish hinterland the show's host Bear Grylls.
The difference between the two men is that Bear is an ex-Special Forces soldier and survival expert, and um, Will is not. But some think that's what makes the special so appealing.
"Pairing one of the toughest men alive with one of the funniest will be an absolute riot," said John Ford, the president of Discovery Channel. "I can't wait to watch."
The duo had to brave the elements and are forced to find food and drink in the forest -- which leaves them with the gourmet meal of reindeer eyeballs and a sips of their own urine.
"To be able to participate in an episode of Man vs. Wild was a thrill of a lifetime, even though I did get urine-drunk which is sad," Will said in a statement to Usmagazine.com.
Wow -- if I had to do that I'd be pissed. : )
The special episode airs in June.
