Sporting a sexy, tousled mullet.
Getting naked as a distraction tactic.
Accidentally blowing up your friends.
All "classic MacGruber!" -- to use the character's catch phrase.
Saturday Night Live's sketches spoofing MacGyver, with Will Forte as MacGruber, have been a huge hit (especially with Betty White as MacGruber's grandma!). Now, the character stars in an outrageous full-length comedy.
But director-creator Jorma Taccone says the idea was initially a very hard sell: "The original pitch was for a character, MacGyver's stepbrother Macgruber, who defuses bombs only using dog feces and pubic hair. It went over very badly."
"I just didn’t feel it," his best buddy Forte admits.
But Forte and the SNL team came around and eventually created a very funny, very crude movie. In fact, the actor says he was a little nervous to show his mom the R-rated film -- which includes gross-out violence, nudity and over-the-top sex scenes. "I think she thinks a little differently of me now," he says. "But she still loves me!"
Watch our exclusive video interview to find out why the film almost got an NC-17 rating and why MacGruber's mullet (and this is a shocker) does not help Forte attract women.
