Early today the Associated Press reported that Judge Elden Fox, the new judge handling Lohan's case, would be holding a status hearing that could release her from rehab close to 65 days before scheduled. Lohan, 24, was originally given a court-ordered 90-day stay in the rehab program at UCLA Hospital. So far, she has been there for 24 days.
Now, according to TMZ, Lohan could be out by Wednesday. Fox has not issued an order today, but instead will make an official decision Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. PT. If Lohan is released tomorrow, "she is likely to continue receiving care on an outpatient basis," MTV reports.
If LiLo is released early, it will likely come as a delight to her mother Dina Lohan, who has publicly slammed the first judge in the case, Marsha Revel, for going "overboard" and "playing hardball" with her sentence.
