Will rubbing alcohol get rid of acne?

No! In fact, avoid facial products that contain alcohol whenever you can. Acne medications with salicylic acid tend to be gentler, but if you prefer benzoyl peroxide, use a lower concentration to avoid irritating the skin, says Taylor. And no matter how appealing a fresh-scented face wash may be it can be just as irritating, and possibly cause an allergic reaction. It’s best to avoid products with fragrances, dyes and preservatives, like propylene glycol and parabens (used to prevent bacteria).
