'William & Kate' Lifetime Movie vs. '20/20' Special: Which Will You Watch?

With the royal wedding almost here, a new Lifetime movie and a behind-the-scenes edition of 20/20 air Monday night

With the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton just 11 days away, TV execs are feverishly zeroing in on this perfectly proper and highly photogenic couple. Lifetime has even managed to rush out a TV movie, William & Kate, which airs Monday at 9 p.m. ET. And for those who just can't get enough royal romance, ABC is offeringa  Special Edition of 20/20: William & Catherine: A Modern Fairytale one hour later, at 10 p.m. ET.

Prefer a dramatic retelling of their union, starting with the day they met as students at St. Andrews in Scotland and ending with the Prince's marriage proposal in Kenya? Then the Lifetime version is for you. In an interview with TV Guide, Nico Evers-Swindell, who plays Prince William, described the telefilm as "the trials and tribulations of two very different worlds colliding and how they overcome those obstacles."

The 20/20 special, on the other hand, is a real-life look into the couple's relationship and upcoming wedding. The special doesn't appear to feature an interview with the pair. But there will be comments from friends, video clips, photos and, no doubt, a gaggle of "wedding experts" speculating about the nuptials. And viewers will be guided through the whole shebang by Barbara Walters, who will make it all sound very, very important.
