Trucker Knows Best: How to Avoid Getting Into a Winter Car Wreck

The best winter driving tips from a trucker driver who has driven over 800,000 miles accident-free.

It's cold outside. The roads are icy and dangerous. Who better to give us safe winter driving tips than a professional truck driver who has driven more than 800,000 miles accident-free?

Alan Wrobel, a driver who covers some of the iciest roads in Ohio, Michigan, Ontario and Wisconsin, gave his best winter driving advice to Road & Track. A great piece of advice if you’re stuck on an icy road with very little visibility (i.e., you can’t see beyond your hood)? Don’t stop. “You WILL be hit. Creep along until you can safely get your vehicle off and away from the road.”

For all of Alan's tips, check out the full article on Road & Track.
