New Season Premieres: Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX

What's new in season 12? Practically everything. Aside from the three new judges (Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban) and the now-legendary Mariah-Nicki feud that's resulted, there are also reports about major changes in the voting system. Namely, viewers won't be weighing in until the contestant pool has already been whittled down to 10, giving producers more control. How will this affect the show?
