The woman who has already sparked a scandal on the new season of ABC's The Bachelor has been identified. According to RadarOnline.com, the contestant who allegedly had a relationship with a producer on the reality show is model/actress Rozlyn Papa.
Though Papa was supposed to be interested in winning the heart of the new "Bachelor," pilot Jake Pavelka, she reportedly caught the eye of an ABC employee behind the scenes. Contrary to rumors, she denies the relationship was intimate: “No, I did not have a sexual relationship with a producer on the show,” she told the Web site.
The 28-year-old single mother, who reportedly figures prominently in Monday's episode when the relationship is uncovered, says she and the crew member are no longer an item.
“I had a relationship with someone on the show that didn’t benefit them,” she told the Web site. “We remained really close but we are not dating now.”
Papa also has a problem with the show hyping her behavior as “inappropriate.”
“What they mean by 'inappropriate relationship' is not what 'inappropriate relationship' means in the real world,” she said. “This is a TV show and it’s made for entertainment, but it is a far cry from reality,” she said. “I know that things on television weren’t always as they seemed, but I had no idea the extent of the show manipulation.”
Bachelor host Chris Harrison spoke candidly about the situation during an interview earlier this week. “It was incredibly unfortunate. Horrible decisions were made,” he said. “It was embarrassing for us and in fairness to Jake and for the other women, [we said], ‘Let’s nip this in the bud and take care of it.’ And that’s what we did.”
And as much as reality TV competitions bank on unexpected drama, Harrison says the incident left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
“There’s train wrecks in this show where I’m like, ‘Oh, it’s going to be great. Let’s let them have it.’ But," he added, "I felt bad for everybody, and it was an uncomfortable deal.”
