iVillage Woman of the Week: Kristin Chenoweth

Each week we pick one woman who's done something to make us proud.

This week we're loving award-winning actress and Broadway sensation Kristin Chenoweth. Full disclosure? We love Kristin every week. But her guest appearance on Wednesday night's Glee really sealed the deal.

Less than two weeks ago, the pint-sized star took home an Emmy for outstanding supporting actress for her role in Pushing Daisies, a critically acclaimed ABC comedy that was cancelled last season. During her very emotional acceptance speech, the actress joked about being unemployed and campaigning for roles on Mad Men, The Office and 24. Turns out she was better suited for a show with more of a musical side.

The guest role of April Rhodes, a 40ish musical has-been who returns to high school for her second chance as a star, was the perfect opportunity for Kristin to showcase her comedic talents and her Broadway voice all at once -- and, unsurprisingly, she stole the show. With her boozy ramblings and her chilling rendition of Cabaret's "Maybe This Time," she firmly upstaged her high school castmates.

At the end of the episode her character said, "Everyone deserves their time in the spotlight." This was definitely hers. We're guessing Kristin won't be unemployed for long!
