Remember going to your morning poli-sci class after returning from bar-hopping with your friends a mere 2 hours earlier? You know how you thought you were tired then? You were wrong. Trying to keep your eyes open (or at least not have your head loudly slam into your text book mid-lecture) in college is worlds away from trying to stay awake, actively participate and actually do what you are getting paid cash money to do at your job post-baby. There's no more sleep-when-the-baby-sleeps when you're at work even though you may be still be facing round-the-clock feedings. There are heated arguments between you and your partner in the middle of the night about who deserves more sleep for which important meeting the next day. It'll get better eventually. And, you will forget how awful it is -- which is the only reason that people are able to go on to have more than one child.
