Working and nursing: Your pumping schedule

Breastfeeding and returning to work? When getting ready to start back to work, it's a good idea to let your manager know, ahead of time, what your pumping schedule will be and how much time it entails so that she's aware of your routine.

Sample Pumping Schedule:
Full-Time Working Mom with a Three-Month-Old Baby

6:30am
Express your milk before your baby's morning feed. Be sure to allow time for a relaxing nursing session before you leave for work/

8:30am
Begin work

10am
Break to pump

12:30pm
20 minutes to pump during lunch

3:30pm
Break to pump

5:30pm
Leave work

6:30pm
Allow time for a relaxed nursing session.

Nighttime
Breastfeed exclusively
