If asked, "Do you want to be a millionaire?" many of us would answer with a resounding, "Final answer, yes!" But would you marry to get that money? As the show Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire? prepares to air, we put this question to iVillagers. Some of you are for it, some have been there, done that, while others say, "Not in a million years!" Would you marry for money?
If there's a bachelor out there waving around a million dollars, send him iVillager rebecque's way! Here's her response to the "Would you marry for money?" question: "Yes. Today. Where is he and how much has he got?"
Even though she's proud of being a strong, capable woman who has been supporting herself for years, iVillager pvlstar is tempted to marry for money, if only to get her career going. "I have been struggling for many years in pursuit of a career in opera," she explains, "and am finding that it's the people who have money behind them who are getting places, whether or not they have the best voices. What's the use of having a 'world-class voice,' as I'm constantly told I have, if I can't get noticed by the people who count? So, yes, I'd marry for money at this point. After all, having the career would make me happy."
iVillager pzaz says marrying for money is a good backup plan. Her opinion: "The first time should be for love. If that doesn't work out, go for the money!"
