Former WWE star Chyna (real name: Joanie Laurer) is being investigated by the Los Angeles police after a woman claimed the wrestler attacked her.
According to TMZ.com, Chyna and Gabriel Targos met up at a motel on April 24 and, Targos claims, upon her arrival the former wrestler "immediately snapped and began attacking her for no reason."
During the incident, Chyna, 39, allegedly punched Targos, beat her with a wire hanger, dragged her by her hair and threatened her life. Targos says she finally got away from the wrestler, ran down the street, and found a police officer to help her.
Targos, who claims she had been friends with Chyna for years, met with LAPD detectives Wednesday morning about the incident, but no arrests have been made yet. Reps for Chyna have yet to comment on the alleged assault.
Chyna shot to WWE fame in the '90s and later did her time on reality TV, with stints on VH1's Surreal Life and Celebrity Rehab.
