If you haven't been paying attention to The X Factor thus far, now's the time to start tuning in. Why? Because Thursday's results show narrowed the pool down to the final four. So jump in now -- the next live performance is Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET -- and you'll see only the cream of the crop.
Here are the four acts who've risen to the top:
Tate Stevens: At first place on the leader board (based on number of fan votes received), the Belton, Mo. street crew worker reminds Simon Cowell of Garth Brooks. "You don't put an age cap on talent," Cowell told the 37-year-old country crooner. "And you've represented this older category incredibly well."
Carly Rose Sonenclar: Already a child star on Broadway (most notably for playing Cosette in Les Mis), this 13-year-old from Westchester County, N.Y. has continually wowed viewers. In fact, they've kept her at or near the top of the leader board throughout the show's run. The last time she performed, both Demi Lovato and Cowell referred to her voice as "phenomenal," and Britney Spears said, "You're the definition of the X Factor."
Emblem3: Though this pop-rock trio from Huntington Beach, Calif. is currently in third place (again, based on viewer votes), Cowell says "I still have a feeling that we have a chance at winning this show." The last time they performed, both Spears and L.A. Reid declared themselves to be huge fans.
Fifth Harmony: This quintet of pretty girls created by Cowell has shown surprising staying power, mainly because of the strength of their vocals. "We've shown that you are a legitimate girl group," Cowell crowed after their last performance. "With you girls it's all about girl power. The show just would not be the same without you." Will they make it to the finale on December 20th? Probably not. But as Cowell himself says, "Anything can happen in the semi-finals."
So…will you watch next week -- and if so, who has your vote?
