Talk about taking reality television obsession to the next level. X Factor judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger apparently voted the wrong contestant off their show Thursday night -- and are now reportedly receiving death threats.
Fans of Drew Ryniewicz took to Twitter following her recent elimination to send ill wishes Abdul and Scherzinger's way. According to TMZ, even Simon Cowell -- who mentored the singer -- was peeved that the duo voted Ryniewicz off, but these fans took their anger at the judges a bit too far.
"F**K you paula you dumb c**t you voted off the most talented person on your f**king show. i hope you die you DUMB B***H," one person tweeted.
Another simplified the message, writing, "@NicoleScherzy @paulaabdul go die."
Sources tell TMZ that Abdul and Scherzinger are "shocked by the harassing messages" and that "neither has experienced a reaction so strong before."
It was Ryniewicz's poor performance of Roxette's "Listen to Your Heart" that earned her the boot from The X Factor, making her the seventh performer to be voted off the show.
According to Entertainment Weekly, after the show Ryniewicz told reporters that she "knew something was not going to go the way that it should.
