Nothing like a Kardashian to boost your ratings!
The X Factor, which already boasts the judging talents of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, is reportedly adding some more star power by bringing on Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez. The reality star and the Extra host will reportedly be co-hosting the show, replacing last year's Steve Jones.
Though no official announcement has been made, TMZ reports that "the final, tiny finishing touches" are being placed on their contracts. Both Kardashian and Lopez, who would join X Factor for the live shows in November, will reportedly make millions of dollars to appear on Simon Cowell's talent competition.
Khloe, who will continue to star alongside her family on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, has been a rumored front-runner for X Factor for months. And she's made no secret of how much she wanted the hosting job.
"I'm a big fan of The X Factor," the 28-year-old told E! News in August. "I've always wanted to do hosting or talk show hosting, so it's definitely something that I would love to do and would be honored to do. To be on such a huge show like that with those judges, I would have so much fun doing that."
Lopez, who has a little more hosting experience under his belt, makes sense as a partner for Kardashian. Plus, he'll reportedly be filling in when Khloe needs to go off and film her reality series.
If Mario and Khloe do indeed have the job, it's not for lack of competition. Stacy Keibler, Kelly Osbourne, Erin Andrews, Terrence J and radio personality Mike Catherwood all reportedly made the producers' short list of potential hosts. We should find out sometime this week if they really have the X Factor!
