Were there warning signs of premature labor that you missed? Why did your body let you down? Did you eat or drink something wrong? For months afterward, preemie moms tend to blame themselves, searching for answers to explain their early births. Your doctor may never discover an explanation (as many as 40 percent of premature births do not have a known cause), and even if they do, your early delivery was not your fault.
