What Moms Are Talking About

Tot in charge I have very little patience with anyone, so it's been a struggle for me to have it with Erin. I've found that taking deep breaths and trying to see the situation from her perspective helps me calm down a bit. When you're two you want things to be bright, shiny, fun, and tasty. Usually I can rephrase a directive so that she finds it appealing, that pretty much always works. "Hey, Erin. You want to go upstairs and play mermaids with mommy? (take a bath)" or we hop like a bunny down the path to the daycare in the mornings...whatever works. Oh yeah, and drinking helps too! I've actually found a wine called "Mommy's Time Out" good stuff! :)' —stephertan Read More
