By observing your little one you will have a good idea that he or she is beginning to show signs of readiness.
Your child may start telling you that he or she is peeing, or has just peed, in their diaper. They may begin going to one place to have privacy when they are ready to poop. Then they may take their diaper off - all by themselves -- or ask to be changed.
This level of awareness may also indicate that your child is ready to move toward independent toileting!
Keep in mind that it can be difficult for your child to give up the safety of his or her diaper, even when no longer comfortable in them. Be patient!
