Well, this sucks!
Zac Efron has decided that he no longer wants to do musicals, so the High School Musical heartthrob has pulled out of the Footloose remake!
I'm so annoyed!
I had such high hopes for the remake (which I never do, especially when a movie is as good as Kevin Bacon's Footloose). But I really thought that if anyone could pull off the new Ren McCormack, that it would be Zac.
A source close to movie production said they were blindsided by Zac's change of heart.
"People had been working on this project since last July," the insider blabbed. "We were all shocked."
There has been no announcement as to who will replace Zac in the flick.
Your thoughts? The actor doesn't really need to sing -- just dance. Can Drew Lachey act? Or maybe an unknown -- like one of the guys from So You Think You Can Dance?
