Okay, I'm not sure that I've clearly expressed my love for Broadway's Rock of Ages but -- IT'S FREAKIN' FANTASTIC! I've already seen it multiple times, and after each visit to the Sunset Strip, all I can yell is, "AGAIN!"
So, here's some news on the film adaptation of the show that has won my love. Gatecrasher is reporting that Jake Gyllenhaal and Zac Efron are in a heated battle to play the lead character in this tribute to fabulous '80s rock. American Idol's Constantine Maroulis currently plays the lead on The Great White Way -- and he's much more appealing than you would imagine.
Being the ROA expert that I am, I'm not sure that Jake would really fit as the lead, though Zac might be a little too wholesome, as well. I'm thinking Mark Wahlberg needs to grow back that long hair he had in Rock Star and show them both up.
